Counter Sales Associate

Responsibilities

  • Greet every customer upon entering the store
  • Answer dozens of phone calls daily
  • Respond to emails and other online communications
  • Look up parts by year/make/model and use online resources effectively to find custom solutions
  • Learn on the job and continually add to vehicle and product knowledge
  • Follow up with customers before and after the sale as needed
  • Go outside to customer vehicles to perform product demos and assess sales opportunities
  • Call customers when orders arrive and schedule installation appointments
  • Check on installations and keep customers informed on progress
  • Ensure proper billing when releasing vehicles to customers and maintain an accurate cash drawer
  • Contact product vendors to assist customers with warranty and other special requests
  • Handle return requests and any complaints professionally with help from management as needed
  • Keep the showroom stocked and all customer areas clean and welcoming

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant customer service and/or automotive experience required
  • Confidence working online and with computer systems
  • Strong phone presence and ability to communicate clearly
  • Dedication to relationship management and timely follow-up
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move up to 40 pounds
  • Availability to work most Saturdays until 4pm (no evenings/weekends)

Position Details

  • Full-time schedule approx. 38-42 hours/week Monday through Saturday (usually with one weekday off)
  • Up to 52 hours/week (6-day weeks) may be required for approx. 6-8 weeks/year (mostly during remote starter season Nov/Dec/Jan)
